The School of Biosciences, which has been rated fourth in the UK in terms of the quality of research, with 98 per cent of research and impact from the School of Biosciences classed as world-leading or internationally excellent in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021. Sheffield is located in the north of England, about 2 hrs by train from London St. Pancras International and 1 hr from Manchester. It is also very close to the Peak District National Park.
